    All thirteen issues and 131 pieces are on this site, free, with no account and no paywall. That is most of what a magazine wants from anybody.

    Say a title out loud

    Not the magazine’s name. A piece, by its title, to one person you already know will like it. If you would rather say it where other people can hear, we are on Instagram and Bluesky.

    Send us work

    A magazine is what it publishes, and we do not write it. The open calls, the word limits and the payment terms are on the submissions page in full.

Where the money goes

We are not printing a breakdown, because we would be rounding one into shape. The habit on this site is to leave a number out rather than publish one we cannot show you, and it applies to our own money as much as to anyone’s publication date.

What can be checked is already published. The flash fiction call states “$20 flat rate for accepted original stories”, and all rights revert to the author or artist on publication — both on the submissions page, in the magazine’s own words. Two people run this, their names are on the masthead, and everything they publish is free to read.
